• An internal PCR control that helps confidently distinguish between a genuine negative and a false negative result due to technical errors or PCR inhibition

Performance Data

Fig.1. Mycoplasma Pro PCR Detection Kit was used to confirm the presence of contamination in five cell culture samples. Positive Mycoplasma bands (300bp - 600bp) were detected in samples 2, 3, and 4. Internal PCR control band (180bp) is present in all lanes which confidently determines a genuine negative result.

Fig.2. abm's Mycoplasma Pro PCR Detection Kit detects a wide range of Mycoplasma species. Nine different Mycoplasma contaminated cell lines were tested using the kit and produced bands positive for Mycoplasma contamination ranging in size between 300-600bp. Different species and severity of Mycoplasma contamination results in amplicons of varying size and brightness level.
